... and I will sometime this morning.
But I have a message I just sent to the Special Task Force:
Starcade from Siren (soon to be Leviathan again):
WHERE ARE THE BANHAMMERS FOR THE PORTAFURNACE BLACK ABYSSITE ABUSERS?
PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO TELL ME THAT THIS ISN'T OF THE LEVEL OF THE 2009 SALVAGE EXPLOITS...

Looks like there was an emergency maintenance performed yesterday that corrected it, at least that's what the info inferred when I logged in this morning.
It corrected the back issue, yes.
But that does not change the fact that those who knew about the issue (and, IIRC, didn't Square-Enix say that there were "unexpected events" which could occur in certain cases of using Synergy and then zoning??) should be barred from the game...
It isn't at the same level, because it didn't go on for over a year. Simple as that.
SE has a trend of letting things at least apparently more-or-less slide if they're caught within a month or so of an update.
But hey, for all we know those players have red flags on their account. SE doesn't have to tell them, SE doesn't have to tell us.
Thirty-six... did I really make that many comments? I don't think I did... but I did lose track.
You really do have a lot of posts.
I think they have to say something took place, not unlike the Salvage bans themselves, for the good the game and the community thereof -- would you not think?

As for the time the exploit was out there being the determinant, I find that rather appalling (not on your part to suggest it, but -- if you are right -- Square-Enix to present it as such), because it basically allows a set of players to rip new game mechanics apart and abuse them for their own benefit, as long as the abuse doesn't go on "too long".
One of the central questions I had been asking about the Salvage bans is whether certain players have preferential treatment here.
This would be one example in which they might well have that kind of treatment.
No. Calintz had about four or five. :)
By the way, for the record:
The all-caps were intended, and were also included in the message to the STF. :)

They already did. They said there was a glitch, they fixed it. I know what I needed to, I'm moving on.
If there was a limited supply of black abbyssite, or the VNMs dropped sellable stuff I had a use for, and abuse of this significantly affected the AH value of those items, then maybe it would matter.
But there isn't and I don't, and the issue is fixed, so I'm moving on.
