I rarely make posts to just one player, but I just dare Scaevola to smack me one...

For this little ditty he put on the Official Forums...

"anybody who does anything that could conceivably result in me earning fewer AN than I currently do will be smacked so hard they'll need yoga to blow their nose"

Then smack me, because holding like that is griefing the other players.

Okay, I'll smack you one.

If you devoted a fraction of the energy you spend on hair-pulling over things other people say and do in one specific obscure online video game to actually helping your community and improving the lives of people who don't consider you at best a joke that's funny when heard for 3 minutes once every six months, you would find the root cause of your ceaseless bitterness, whatever it may be, would greatly recede.

Listen, they'll think of me as a joke until I show up someplace and smack their heads in.

When the community of the game basically makes fraud, deceit, and griefing a central requirement to success and social acceptance, I've got a problem with that.

Double that problem when the damn company (or at least it's North American division) has been irreparably compromised.

The North American FFXI community is beyond help, Scaevola. And that's why the only help is to expose it and hope that the JPs continue to denigrate and ignore the North American community - the only reaction it deserves short of elimination.

"Ceaseless bitterness", if receded, would mean that I don't continue, jackass.

You still thought I meant video games when I said "community".

You do realize identifying so completely with negativity makes it impossible to be a positive force in the world, right?

To put it another way, why would SE or anyone care about the opinions of someone who has apparently given up on himself so totally?

I don't doubt you're sincere, so what's more important: affirming your opinions as loudly as possible or actually bringing about the change you want?

Guilty as charged, except for the fact that I'd like to see this gang-infested shithole of a city burn to the ground and get it over with.

If I had a real choice, I would rather be homeless than live in Riverside, CA.

Scaevola, any attempt I make at positivity at this point ends with me in the slammer.

Additionally, at this point, I'm just basically telling people to steer clear of gamers like you.
